I am a Canadian revert living now in Cairo with my Egyptian husband. I strive hard toward the Way of the Salaf, avoiding fitnah and dream of Jennah in shaa Allah.
I have been a Muslimah since May 2006, al humdullilah. Allah opened my heart to the truth after watching other sisters practice Islam. I found that in their behavior and lifestyle was something I had been seeking all my life. I found the Salat (Muslim Prayer) and fasting to be beautiful ways of disciplining myself and my life around my Creator and His will for me. In Islam, I found my true purpose… a calling to worship Allah through my deeds, even if it be just a smile. Alhumdulillah, after saying my Shahada, I found a peace inside to which my soul had always longed for and hence, the reason for creating this site.
I hope in shaa Allah to organize my journey in a way that is also beneficial to others. May Allah accept my deeds and guide us all to the Siratal Mustaqeem….Ameen.
As well, please share in my cuppa tea at Tea Break Thoughts, a blog consisting of some random thoughts and reflections of this Muslim revert while living in a foreign country… including some interesting, less formal articles I have received in my online groups or email.
And finally, my newest effort – The Healthy Muslimah: Uniting the Mind, Body & Spirit… in shaa Allah.

Assalamulaikum, I was born in America and have been Muslim since 1983, ALhamdulillah. The past two years I have been living in Sharjah U.A.E. with my son (now 15). It would be good to keep in touch with other sisters who have chosen to leave their homelands and live in Muslim majority countries. Nice and informative website. By the way, Ramadan Kareem.
